Republicans have 2 years to win the White House. Playing as "bipartisan" is not one of those goals to get there. They need to differentiate themselves from DemocRATs by coming up with their own plans to improve things. The last thing they should do is be a DemocRAT-controlled Congress part 2.

Thanks for the buddy request. Welcome aboard!

I look at the bigger picture. If Repubs were wanting to increase the gas tax, they would have put it forth when DemocRATs were in control of the Senate, or even before that when in control of the House because DemocRATs have been wanting to increase the gas tax for years. Now we get these series of articles put out when Repubs have taken control of the Senate that NOW they want to increase the gas tax. I just don't buy the story. I have no doubt there are RINOs in power who would like to increase the gas tax, but there are still several Repubs who will fight it.

Sure, I'll take that bet. If they do increase that tax, Republicans had better run for cover if they expect to gain the White House or keep their majority in congress next election because it won't happen.

I don't know if this is zombie-like hope, but you never know! http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/post-politics/wp/2015/01/07/romney-huddling-with-key-members-of-2012-team-tonight/ A lot of voters have "buyer's regret" from 2012, but I don't think that's enough to generate campaign momentum. I'm partial to Scott Walker, good performance record as WS governor and he can win Dem votes. We'll see. Hope your New Year is starting well. Freezing our (*%&%$%#@ off in Boston!

Hi : I liked your reply about those EV owners, they pay nothing but use the roads with no thought of helping pay for the use.
