Gasoline Consumers 'See No End in Sight' on Prices

CSP Daily News -- ALEXANDRIA, Va. -- Consumers are increasingly pessimistic about the economy, and gasoline prices are a growing reason why, according to the results from the monthly NACS Consumer Fuels Survey. Nearly one quarter (23%) of consumers surveyed in a national poll of gasoline purchasers are "very pessimistic" about the economy, a significant increase from the 18% who said that they were very pessimistic in NACS' January consumer poll.

Tomok I agree, the prices should go down to $2. I'm tired of paying these high prices and the car I just purchased is a V-8 and it's killing me.

USA imports a lot more than it exports. Without those imports the prices of gas and diesel would skyrocket.

'See No End in Sight' on Prices? When Big Oil and Big Gas sells fuel and natural gas on the world market for higher prices - what would you expect?
The US ‘oil and natural gas resources’ belong to the citizens of this country and are to be used by those same citizens! The price at the pump needs to go down to $2/gallon - *$3, *$3.50/gallon or *$4.00 is Not the new low!
More Refineries are Not the answer, Stop exporting fuel is!
Take care of the domestic fuel market first and above all else!
Drive vehicles with high MPG, are very safe, reliable, have a ‘reasonable’ cost and a good ‘value’ for the money.
The price of fuel at the pump is too high!

As the reserves of crude are depleted, the price of gas will continue to climb. At some point only billionaires will be able to afford to drive a gas car.

Just wait till Friday and see what happens if the folks in Dc can't get it together. Need to put them in a room without a TV camera and don't let them out until they get it right.

doesn't stop with the pain at the pump-remember, most everything in our society arrives by diesel or gas..have you seen the price of diesel lately ??-that's gonna be felt in the stores pretty soon-it's called "price increase cause of rising delivery charges"..

There is no reason for Washington to want to lower fuel prices.

A carry over article. Won't change unless the US Gov. controls Speculation on & export of US commodities. Also better CRACKDOWN ON oligopolies & price fixing. I've documented why & how they could do this numerous times & they know it.

Fuel prices put a huge drag on our economy that takes a while to show up in the economic indicators. We will continue on this roller coaster until the government puts a stop to speculation. Given that they can't even pass a budget I am not optimistic.
